Floral spray diamond ring. This is a lovely and unique piece. Three antique old mine cut diamonds are set into a floral design. Shaped and engraved leaves accent the diamonds. At the base of the flower design the stems are tied together with a sweet bow. The three diamonds are all old mine cuts with the typical smaller tables, higher crowns and visible open culets as compared to modern cut diamonds. The diamonds pre-date the floral spray by a couple generations. I love the thought of a woman receiving family diamonds and choosing and creating a design which is sentimental with them. The flowers have then been added to a band, again, made into a piece which using family heirlooms yet keeps up with the times. This piece is beautifully wearable today and looks stunning on the finger.

This ring is a marriage. A very good and long marriage! The floral top was added to the band at some point. The way they are joined together, with the floral piece inset into the band and support bars added to keep it sturdy, is very well done. Circa Art Deco floral spray set with late 19th century diamonds. Date of conversion unknown.

Diamonds: 3, old mine cut. Left to right. Approx 3.6 mm and calculated in mounting as 0.20 carats, J / K colour, VS2 / SI1 clarity. Approx 3.9 mm to 3.7 and calculated in mounting as 0.25 carats, J / K colour, SI1 clarity. Approx 4.0 mm to 3.85 mm and calculated in mounting as 0.25 carats, J / K colour, SI2 / I1 clarity.
Total carat weight of 0.70 as calculated within the limits of the mountings.

Stamped PLAT. Professionally tested and assessed as platinum band, with support wires for conservation in platinum as well. The floral spray professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat white gold.

Size: UK - P.5; US - 8; EU - 57. Resizing smaller or larger is possible and is available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 19.25 mm by 15.25 mm on top. 5.1 mm deep on top, 2.05 mm band.

Weighs 6.3 grams.
