Large and lovely safety pin crafted in 9 carat yellow gold. This pin is on the larger side with a floral shaped cluster of faux pearls on the end. Heavy gauge 1.2 mm wire has been formed and sprung to create a brooch. The sharp pin tucks neatly behind the bold faux pearl top. This piece would make an excellent brooch, charm holder, or chain connector. I'd probably wear it on an Albert chain myself, as an extender and to provide a place to hang a pendant. Circa 1980s, British hallmarks.

Hallmarks for 9 carat gold, assayed in London, date letter for 1983.

Measures approx 5.52 cm / 2.17 inches long by 1.4 cm / 0.56 inches wide.
