Sterling silver long guard chain with jeweller's loupe pendant. What a lovely vintage piece! The curb link long guard chain has long twisted bar link evenly spaced around the entire length. A slim circular pendant is diamond cut around the edges in a decorative pattern. The pendant flips out to reveal a jeweller's loupe which magnifies at about 2-3x times. This decorative piece flips away and when in use makes it easier to read hallmarks or inspect pieces when out and about. The loupe is currently secured on the chain, unable to be removed due the sizes of the bails. Circa mid 20th century, around 1960s - 1970s.

Stamped 925 on the terminating jump ring of the chain and 925 A*D on the bail of the pendant. Sterling silver throughout.

Chain measures approx 98 cm / 38.5 inches in length. Pendant is approx 3.25 cm / 1.28 inches in length by 1.83 cm / 0.72 inches in width. As a single length chain, it hangs down to about the bottom of the ribcage making it easy to use the loupe. It can also be worn doubled in length.
