Vintage garnet cocktail ring. This large dress ring is set with two pears, points facing out, and lined in milgrain beading. Between their curves is a star like design in the centre. Set around the edges are twenty rose cut garnets. The top of this ring is mounted on a split shank design band.

We believe this is likely a conversion with the garnet set top bring attached to a newer band. The two parts of the top are a hole and pin type attachment and rattle slightly against each other. Date of conversion unknown.

Garnets: 2 pear, 26 rose cut of various sizes. Small chips to a few of the girdle edges of the rose cuts, visible under magnification. One garnet at point is a replacement and claw has been retipped.

Measures approx 26.5 mm by 13.6 mm at the face and stands 5.1 mm deep.
