Vintage three stone sapphire and diamond engagement ring dating to the mid 20th century. A lovely light cornflower blue French cut sapphire is bezel set and lined with a double row of milgrain beading. Flanking the sapphire are single cut diamonds, bead set into a star engraved design within a square shape. The three squares graduate across the finger and are topped in platinum, contrasting against the bright gold of the tapered, pinched shank. Circa 1960s, British in origin.

Sapphire: square shape, French cut, approx 2.75 mm.

Diamonds: 2, single cut, approx 0.03 carats together.

Hallmarked for 18 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham, date letter for 1961.
