Antique opal and diamond ring dating to the early 20th century. A beautiful cabochon cut opal is bezel set in platinum. Around the edges are 10 old single cut diamonds and the top edge dips gently between them creating a scalloped edge design. The bezel edge of the opal is lined in delicate milgrain beading detail. The gemstones are set in a platinum top on a narrow D shaped 18 carat yellow gold band. Circa 1900, British in origin.
Opal: measures approx 5.5 mm by 4.7 mm.
Diamonds: 10, eight / single cut and calculated in setting as 0.13 carats total.
Stamps worn, c & PLAT is legible. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.
Size: UK - N 1/2; US - 7; EU - 54,4. This ring can be sized down to I / 4.5 / 47,75. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures approx 10 mm by 8.3 mm and rises 3.7 mm tall off the finger.
