Beautiful Edwardian era amethyst and split pearl pendant. This piece is both a pendant and brooch. A gold mounting set with pearls curves around to form a floral shaped tapered drop. At the top is a detachable bail which is set with three small split pearls. A flowing design arches around a lovely oval cut amethyst. At the back is a stick pin for a brooch. The clever design makes it very easy to wear either way it's intended to be, a pendant or brooch. Circa 1900, British in origin.
