Diamond single stone engagement ring dating to the mid 20th century. A half carat round brilliant cut diamond is set in frilly edged six claw mounting. Engraved shoulders are designed as a twist ribbon and engraved with a beaded pattern. The view from the side is just as nice! Scrolls and swirls of white gold curve up to the diamond which is held in a subtle heart style collet. The diamond is bright and the design is lovely on the top of the finger. A slender band completes this ring. Circa 1940s - 1950s.
