Baguette cut diamond vintage engagement ring. This diamond solitaire ring is set with a rectangular cut in 14 carat white gold. The diamond is set in an illusion style head which serves to protect the diamond and make it appear larger. The diamond is held in place with a set of double claw prongs on each corner. Sleek tapered shoulders are engraved with a small triangle design leading to a narrow band. Rectangular cut diamonds become popular in the late Art Deco era to mid 20th century. Emerald cut have clipped corners while baguette cuts have sharp corners. Circa mid 1930s - 1950s.

Diamond: measures approx 3.8 mm by 2.5 mm and calculated as 0.20 carats, F / G colour, VS clarity within the limits of the mounting.

Not stamped, professionally tested and assessed as 14 carat white gold.

Size: UK - F; US - 3; EU - 14,1. This ring can be sized up to J.5 / 5 / 15,7. Further resizing may be possible with a reshank. Resizing available for an additional fee.
