Art Nouveau opal floral design stick pin. Three oval shaped cabochon cut opals are set into a flower shape. At the base of the curving stem is a small old cut diamond. This stick pin has it's own built in stop. Attached by a heavy and decorative trace chain is a flower set with a small cultured pearl. This piece slides on to the pin to keep it secure. A little baroque cultured pearl is attached to the slide and dangles freely. Circa 1910s, British in origin.
Opals: 3, oval in shape with very good play of colour. Each is approx 4.6 mm by 3mm.
Diamond: 1, old cut, approx 2.5 mm.
Cultured pearls: 2.
Stamped 15 on the back of the opal cluster, tested and assessed as 15 carat gold throughout.
Measures approx 5.75 cm / 2.25 inches long.
Weighs 1.9 grams.
