Antique laurel diamond necklace dating to the Art Nouveau era. Beautiful green gold engraved laurel leaves form a V shape between which is an engraved flower on top of a small diamond. Scrolling gold wire work frames the V. Swinging gently from the bottom is a floral design set with a single old cut diamond. Attached to the sides of the design is a bright, fine trace chain with a spring bolt clasp closure. The flowing design and two tone gold accents is nothing short of amazing. It's delicate and detailed yet sturdy and just as modern in design today as when it was made a 100 years ago. Circa 1900.
Not hallmarked, professionally tested and assessed as 14k gold with the terminating jump ring as 9ct gold.
Measures approx 40.5 cm / 16 inches in length, drop approx 2.5 cm / 1 inch long by 3 cm / 1.25 inches wide.
Weighs 3.75 grams.
