Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring. This five stone ring is cruciform in design with a blue sapphire to the centre and single cut diamonds to the north, south, east and west. Each of the gemstones is outlined with a milgrain beaded edge, highlighting the stones and giving this ring some lovely eye-catching detail. The shoulders are pinched, narrowing significantly at the top and widening to a D shape profile band at the back. Circa 1920s.
Sapphire: blue, step-cut, approx 3.9 mm by 3.5 mm.
Diamonds: 4, single cut, approx 0.04 carats as calculated within the limits of the setting.
Stamped 9ct, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.
Size: UK - J 1/2; US - 5 1/4; EU - 15 3/4. This ring can be sized between I / 4.5 and O.5 / 7.5. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures approx 10.8 mm by 10 mm on top and stands 3.5 mm rise from the finger.
