Antique agate watch key. Engraved into one side is a lion in a sitting on its haunches with its front paws raised in a rampant position. The agate is a dark with a single band streaking through the lion. The other side is not engraved is dark at the bottom and white on top with the edge bevelled to accentuate the colour difference. The agate is set into a gold toned bezel frame with a bail which spins for ease of use. The base of this watch key is steel for strength. Circa mid 1800s.

Measures 3.53 cm / 1.39 inches tall and 1.25 cm / 0.49 inches at widest point.

Weighs 2.55 grams.
