Diamond and blue enamel star pendant dating to the Victorian era. An old mine cut diamond is bead set in an eight pointed star which is accented in the most gorgeous blue enamel. Around the matching blue enamel oval frame are 16 small rose cut diamond set in triangles which point inward toward the star.

This piece is a conversion from another piece. Circa 1860s - 1880s star, date of conversion unknown. The enamel is vivid blue throughout and is lightly chipped in places which can be seen in good light or under magnification, not at normal viewing distance as a pendant.

Diamonds: 1 old mine cut of approx 2.8 mm wide, approx 0.08 carats. 16 rose cut diamonds of approx 0.8 - 0.9 mm each.

Not stamped, professionally tested as 18 carat gold.

Measures approx 2.75 cm / 1.1 inches tall not including the bail by 1.8 cm / 0.71 inches wide.

Weighs 1.8 grams.
