Antique Victorian pinchbeck long guard chain. This is a slinky, delicate link chain with each link oblong in shape. The links are twisted and form a continuous trace chain. Each terminating end of the chain is attached to a larger spring bolt clasp. This chain does not open, it slips over the head and can be wrapped around the neck multiple times to form a layered look. The spring bolt clasp is nice and tight and can be used to hold pendant or charms. Circa late 19th century.

Measures approx 79 cm / 31 inches long doubled for a total length of 158 cm / 62 inches, and 2.25 mm wide.
