Antique old mine cut paste drop earrings. Cushion shaped paste are set in six fine claws. The paste feature chunky facets with high crowns. The back is closed so at some angles the paste reflect their gold backings. The hooks are short, hanging just off the earlobe, with longer wires at the back. These are a conversion, we're not sure from what or when, but the ear wires have been lasered on, a fairly new technology, though it's possible this has been done simply for security and these were always earrings. Circa late 19th century.

Paste: old mine cut, slightly cushion in shape measuring approx 6.75 mm by 6.25 mm or approx the size of a 1.25 carat diamond. They have some abrasions to their edges.

Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold, which is slightly rosy in colour though much closer to modern yellow gold than modern rose gold.

Measure approx 10.8 mm from top of ear wire to bottom of paste.

Weigh 1.2 grams together, approx 0.6 grams each.
