Stylish antique niello chain. This late Victorian to Edwardian era chain is very long allowing it to be worn layered two to three times. The long niello links are square in profile and very decorative with the silver peaking through in strips. Connecting each of the links is a length of trace links. This necklace secures with an oversized swivelling dog clip. Circa 1880s to 1910, probably French in origin.

Not marked, silver tested as 800 - 900, which was the standard of the time. There is a maker's stamp / mark near the clasp.

Measures approx 143.5 cm / 56.5 inches long by 2.75 mm wide.
