Late Victorian heart shape pendant. This pendant is designed as a puffy love heart shape. Applied wire work on the front of the heart make a single flower blossom with a circle style pattern. A small rose cut diamond is set into the heart close to the point. The back is unadorned. The heart pendant has been strung on a heavy and long curb link style chain. Circa late 1800s, British in origin. Marker's marks to the back of the heart.
Stamped 9ct on the back of the heart. The piece, both heart and chain, tested and assessed as 9 carat gold.
Heart measures approx 1.89 cm / 0.75 inches long by 1.6 cm / 0.63 inches wide and 0.8 cm / 0.31 inches deep.
Chain is approx 59.5 cm / 23.5 inches long by 1.65 mm wide. At the moment the pendant cannot be removed from the chain. To remove it, the terminating jump ring on the chain would need to be removed.
Weighs 5 grams.
