Antique 9 carat gold heart shaped clasp charm. This heart is designed in a lock style shape. The front side is engraved with a lovely foliate style design. The back side is plain other than an engraved boarder and maker's markings. A top loop clicks into place, allowing this heart to be secured to an item. The clasp is tight and holds very well. At the top of the love heart is a small bail to allow this item to threaded through a safety chain. This versatile piece can be worn as a charm, clasp or pendant. The gold has a rosy tone to it. Dates to the late Victorian to Edwardian era, British in origin.

Stamped 9ct GOLD and the maker's mark W.J.S. Professionally tested and assessed to the 9 carat gold standard. Maker is possibly William Joseph Spencer.
