Antique early 20th century engraved wedding ring. A foliate style pattern is engraved around the circumference of this 9 carat gold band. The background is textured with the pattern on a raised shiny bit. To the top and bottom little half moon shapes where the textured pattern pokes through can be seen. Circa 1900s, British in origin.
There is a solder line which is visible on the inside and can be seen as a faint line on the outside, please see photos. It may be the original solder line or a result of resizing.
Fully hallmarked for 9 carat gold, assayed in Chester, date letter for 1909. This ring is rosy in colour as antique gold often does.
Size: UK - T; US - 9 1/2; EU - 19.4. Measurements taken from the leading edge. Wider rings fit differently to narrower rings and may require a slightly larger size. This ring is not suitable for resizing.
Measures approx 7.6 mm wide and stands 1.2 mm tall off the finger.
Weighs 4.5 grams.
