Antique belcher link chain dating to the late 19th century. This simple chain is made of rounded shapee links, which are smooth and polished. It's a classic style chain which would be suitable for light to medium weight pendants and also looks good worn alone. This chain secures with a barrel clasp on either side of which are tags, one denoting gold content and the other for the maker's mark. Circa late Victorian, British in origin. There are no kinks, it's simply incredibly difficult to get a chain to lay flat from all angles while photographing it.

Stamped 9c on a tag near the clasp, professionally tested and assessed throughout. The gold is a pale yellow in colour with a slightly rose tint, though closer to yellow gold in colour.

Measures approx 46 cm / 18 inches total length, 3.3 mm wide.

Weighs 4.2 grams.
