Antique Articulated 9ct Drop Earrings. Victorian Tapered 9k Dangles with Turquoise Paste.Add to Wishlist
Antique Victorian articulated drop earrings. We love the combination of bright gold with cool turquoise. Pierced ear wires have a puffed floral shape at the base. From that is a curvy urn shape studded with graduated gold dots around the outside. The front side is accented with three turquoise paste near the bottom. In the centre is a little drop which swings in the middle. Little florets are graduated in size and adorn the front of the tapered drop and swinging drop. These are ear catching earrings, nicely detailed throughout. Circa 1860s, British in origin.
Turquoise paste: 6 total.
Not hallmarked. These earrings were crafted in 3 pieces.. The earwires and top floral design are tested and assessed as 9 carat gold. The top section of the urn shape and centre swinging drops are gold cased with what appears to be a steel post to articulate them. The larger bottom section of the urn shape which is studded is tested and assessed as 9 cart gold.
