Antique 9 carat tapered drop earrings dating to the late Victorian era. Beautifully shaped ear hooks terminate at a puffed sphere from which a bauble swings. The bottom is cone in shape, puffed, with a larger sphere stacked on top of a smaller sphere. A ring of rope sits at the base of the cone, on top of the larger sphere. These earrings have a bit of a matte finish. Circa late 19th century, 1880s - 1900, British in origin.
Stamped 9, 375 on the base of a hook, it's worn on the other hook. Professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold throughout, which is yellow in colour.
Measures approx 4.7 cm / 1.85 inches long by 0.98 cm / 0.39 inches at widest point.
Weigh 3.4 grams together, approx 1.7 grams each.
