Victorian long articulated drop earrings. These earrings are so very striking! Pierced ear wires are hinged with a circular disc at the base. The top has a flower with a turquoise paste to the centre. A large pear shaped drop swings from the top is adorned with swags of ribbons and leaves. Across the top, set into the swags, are four turquoise coloured paste with a further one at the bottom in the centre of the flower. The pear is designed with a wider bottom with a pierced ribbed section. In the centre of the larger ornate pear is a smaller articulated dangle. The bottom section of these earrings are very intricately and delicately engraved. Circa mid to late 1800s.

Turquoise paste: 12 total, approx 1.95 mm each.

Not hallmarked, tested and assessed as 9 carat gold. These earrings have a higher carat gilded finish.

Measure approx 4.85 cm / 1.9 inches in length by 2.3 cm / 0.9 inches in width at widest point.

Weigh 5.6 grams total.
