Vintage blue zircon single stone ring. A vivid round shaped blue zircon is set in a very stylish white gold solitaire mounting. The zircon is a fantastic bright blue colour and is held in place by eight tiny sets of double claw prongs. The shoulders of the mounting are flared, making a bow shape, and engraved with a ridged design. From the side the pierced lattice work under the shoulders can be seen. This piece would make an excellent dress ring. Circa mid 20th century, British in origin.

Blue zircon: measures approx 7.6 mm and has a known weight of 2.18 carats. It's in excellent condition with no visible facet wear.

Hallmarked for 9 carat gold, assayed in London, date letter for 1953.
