Stunning tourmaline and diamond ring set in 18 carat gold. A beautiful bluish-green tourmaline is claw set in the centre of 12 single cut diamonds. The tourmaline is a long oval in shape, flatting the shape of the finger. Each of the diamonds is bead set into a platinum setting. The cluster makes a great impact on the finger and the tourmaline is a great colour, spring green in most lighting and very slightly bluish-green in incandescent lighting. The band is 18 yellow gold, in a half round, or D shape, with a domed exterior and flat interior. Circa 1940s - 1950s, British in origin.

Tourmaline: oval cut, bluish-green, approx 7.2 mm by 5.2 mm and estimated in setting as 0.75 carats.

Diamonds: 12, eight cut / single cut, approx 0.10 carats total weight.

Marked 18ct & Pt. This ring is mostly 18 carat yellow gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.
