Vintage opal ring set in 9 carat gold. A striking opal cabochon is set in a low four claw setting. Either side of the opal is engraved with a white gold bead, designed to look like a diamond at first glance. This ring is delicate and simple with the opal set into a white gold top which joins a yellow gold band. Opal is October's birthstone. Circa 1940s, likely British in origin.
Opal: oval shape, cabochon cut, approx 7.1 mm by 6.1 mm.
Marked 9ct, this ring is 9 carat gold.
