Vintage opal and diamond ring set in yellow gold and platinum. This stunning ring features a round cabochon cut opal framed by a halo of 12 single cut / eight cut bead set diamonds. The opal shows mostly bluish-green play of colour with yellowish-orange and orange in some lights. The diamonds are bead set with small shared prongs between them. The outer edge is smooth, dipping between each diamond to create a scalloped edge. Circa 1930s with maker's marks for A.W.C&S.

The inside contains a personal inscription, "H.C.M. - M.S.J. 15-6-37."

Opal: approx 5.3 mm by 4.1 mm and shows mostly bluish-green play of colour.

Diamonds: 12, single cut diamonds, approx 0.33 carats total weight, I / J colour, SI clarity.

Marked 18ct Pt. This ring is 18 carat yellow gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.

Size: UK - P; US - 7 3/4; EU - 17.9. This ring is not recommended for sizing larger. It can be sized down to J / 4.8. Sizing is available for an additional fee.
