Striking three stone late Art Deco diamond engagement ring set in platinum. A sparkling round brilliant cut diamond is set in triple claw fishtail style prongs. On either side of the centre diamond, stepped down in the setting, is a single diamond. A small double ridged design leads to an unadorned platinum shank. This is a lovely, classic late Art Deco ring with beautiful features. Circa 1930s - 1940s, likely North American in origin.
Diamonds: 3 total, centre round brilliant cut measures approx 4.65 mm and is calculated in setting as 0.33 carats, J / K colour, SI2 clarity. Two eight cut accent diamonds total approx 0.04 carats.
Marked as 10% Irid Plat, this ring is the common alloy of 90% Platinum and 10% Iridium, slightly lower than the modern British standard of 95 / 5.
