Sapphire & diamond three stone twist style engagement ring dating to the Art Deco era. The combination of sapphires and diamonds is one of my favourites. An oval cut royal blue sapphire is claw set at an angle between two round brilliant cut diamonds. The three gemstones are set at an angle across the finger. The band is yellow gold in back with the top near to the gemstones in studded with two diamonds set in platinum and lined in milgrain. The platinum and yellow gold contrast beautifully as do the sapphire with the diamonds. Circa 1930s, British in origin.

Sapphire: blue, oval shape, approx 4 mm by 3.6 mm and estimated in setting as 0.26 carats. Shows some wear under magnification, in keeping with age and use.

Diamonds: 6 total, 2 brilliant cuts and 4 single cuts, approx 0.08 carats total weight as calculated within the limits of the mounting.

Stamped 18ct PLAT. Professionally tested and assessed as mostly 18 carat gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.

Size: UK - N; US - 6 3/4; EU - 17.2. This ring can be sized between K / 5.25 / 15.9 and Q / 8.25 / 18.25. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 6.85 mm wide and rises approx 4.5 mm tall off the finger.
