Vintage emerald and diamond engagement ring. A lovely light green square shaped step cut emerald is claw set into a square shaped setting. At each of the flat sides is a single bead set diamond. The setting between the emerald and diamonds is outlined with fine milgrain beading. The detailing is sweet and very delicate, true to early 20th century style and design. The narrow band is D shape in profile with a little bubbled design near to the gemstone setting. Circa 1920s.

Emerald: light spring green square cut emerald, approx 2.7 mm.

Diamonds: 4, approx 0.04 carats total weight.

Not hallmarked. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top. Possibly a replacement band.
