Art Deco diamond and sapphire ring. Eight cut diamonds and square cut sapphires form a chequerboard pattern in the square shaped top. A thin row of milgrain beading frames the sapphires creating an x outline. The gemstones are set into a platinum top with the rest of this ring in 18 carat yellow gold. Circa 1920s - 1930s, British in origin.
Diamonds: 5, eight cut / single cut, approx 0.17 carats, estimated as setting permits.
Sapphires: 4, square cut, approx 2.2 mm. The sapphires are two different types of cut.
Faintly marked PLAT 18ct. This ring is mostly 18 carat yellow gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top. This ring has been reshanked.
Size: UK - M 3/4; US - 6 5/8; EU - 17. This ring can be sized between K.5 / 5.5 and S / 9.25. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures 10.2 mm wide and rises 4.55 mm tall off the finger.
