Antique seed pearl horseshoe pendant. This necklace is crafted as a horseshoe set with seed pearls. Each side of the horseshoe is suspended from a trace link gold chain. Horseshoes are meant to bring the wearer luck and pearls and gold are a lovely combination! Circa 1880s.

Seed pearls: 22, approx 1.9 mm.

Stamped 9K on the clasp. Tested and assessed as 9 carat gold throughout. The gold is a rosy colour.

Horseshoe measures approx 2.45 cm / 0.96 inches tall by 2 cm / 0.80 inches wide.

Total length of piece is approx 43 cm / 17 inches and chain is approx 1.7 mm wide.

Weighs 4.05 grams.
