Long guard chain dating to the late 19th century. This long chain is crafted in coin silver, around 800 parts of 1000, and is made of interconnecting links in a curb style. Each end of this chain is attached to a large jump ring which in turn is attached to a large swivelling dog clip. The spring in the dog clip is strong and it's large size allows it to hold a large pendant or locket. Circa 1890s, likely European in origin.

Not marked, professionally tested to the 800 - 900 standard of silver (sterling silver is 925 parts of 1000).

Measures approx 148 cm / 58 inches long and is 3.75 mm wide.
