Victorian large glass front locket. This locket is heavily embossed around the edge with a floral design. The metal side is adorned with large swirling engraved decoration. The glass side is filled with hair on a white hard stone background.

The hair could be removed if desired. The glass is scratched from regular wear and age. Circa 1860s.

Not marked, tested as gold fill.

Measures approx 3.62 cm / 1.43 inches tall including the bail by 2.6 cm / 1.02 inches wide.

Weighs 6.95 grams.
