Antique French silver long guard chain. Beautifully beaded links wrap around each other creating a pretty design that mimics movement. The largest links are a figure eight style design with an open circle engraved with ridges in the middle. Smaller ridged links connect the links forming a graceful design. Both terminating ends of this chain are connected to a large spring bolt clasp for holding pendants, charms, or a locket. The clasp can be used to fit into the links to keep all the layers in place when this chain is being worn. Circa early 1900s, French in origin.

Marked with French hallmarks on one of the terminating jump rings. Tested as sterling silver.

Measures 136 cm / 53.5 inches long and is approx 4.66 mm wide.
