Sapphire and diamond engagement ring dating to the Art Deco era. This lovely three stone ring holds a French cut sapphire which is bezel set between single cut diamonds. French cuts are square or rectangular in shape with the table, top of the gem, at a 90 degree angle to the girdle, the widest part of the stone. The gemstones are tapered in size with the largest, the sapphire, in the centre, and the band follows that design being narrow and pinched at the shoulders. The back of the band widens into a D shape profile. Circa 1920s, British in origin.

Sapphire: royal blue, French cut, approx 3.45 mm by 3.3 mm.

Diamonds: single cut, approx 0.05 carats total.

Stamped 18ct PLAT, professionally tested and assessed as being 18 carat gold. The inside of the band is also marked for the maker and brand.

Size: UK - I; US - 4 3/8; EU - 15.2. This ring cannot be made any smaller and can be sized up to L / 5.75. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 4.13 mm by 9.88 mm on top and stands 3.78 mm tall off the finger.

Weighs 1.9 grams.
